Cape Cod: Kitchen Revamp in Brewster
Kitchens are known to be one of the most used rooms in a house and when everything has a ‘home’ it can be pure bliss. But, living in a busy household with young kids and pets, ‘high’ use areas, like kitchens, can become cluttered with items that don’t actual belong there. Our goal was to help this client feel stress-free every time they are in their kitchen.
Marianne and Laura started by removing everything from the cabinets including food. Every item was then sorted into ‘like’ categories, which makes it easier to see what they have. The client was close by to make quick decisions on what to keep, donate or trash. While Marianne was working with the client, Laura placed contact paper on each shelf, which the client provided.
Using a variety of containers provided by Peaceful Place, everything was rehomed and in the end, much easier to find.
It always ‘looks’ worse before it ‘looks’ better! Here is a progress photo of Laura removing all contents from the cabinets and sorting in the progress.
